I’m ecstatic for this summer!

I was working at an elementary school 2023-2024 and so it’s the first time since I was in school that I’m seeing summer in a new light again. But I’m also excited because my son is just big enough to do more exploring outside this year and I’m taking my art outside!

In high school, I drew a few large pictures of well-known character on my parents’ driveway. I was trying to drum up business for the garage sale we were having. I loved seeing people’s reactions and them pausing on their way in and out.

Later, during the Covid pandemic I was working in the Activities Department of a couple senior living communities. When my boss found out I could draw she asked me to draw for the residents. This led to custom coloring pages sent to their apartments and drawing classic characters on a large whiteboard.

I want to draw for these sweet folks and families, and put smiles on their faces whether through permanent or temporary art.
